Pat felt a rage of anger and frustration come over him and opens a place for it to stay, just as he watches a pile of burnt leaves blow across the beach. He felt so stupid that he thought he could just take Rocky back to her parents and everything would be fixed.
He finally realized that what he did......but not just now, the day the twins were born, couldn't just be fixed in one night; he can't just take Rocky back like he planned, but she'll have to keep living with them.
Rocky looked around at her surroundings; she felt so confused, so lost. She can't believe that she was so close to be happy and whole, but that she now just had to make peace with just being the youngest of a very poor family.
While they played on the xylophone Nadine kept feeling uncomfortable and depressed; she kept feeling there was trouble......and of course she was right.
There was big trouble for Pat and Rocky at the beach; as they slept a masked villain crept to their campsite.
Rocky woke up from a feeling that was like a warning; she knew they had to leave the beach.....now! The feeling kept nagging at her until she decided to do something about the matter: She started to yell her lungs out.
Pat woke up from where he slept lightly in the stolen tent, because of Rocky's none-stopping wailing outside. As he got out, he saw the burglar and was immediately caught in a state of terror.
When Rocky had the warning-feeling, it was Nadine who tapped SOS on the xylophone; intentionally trying to warn her sister.
She backed away from the xylophone to help Rocky fight and survive; at that moment they were one person, not two.
Rocky felt that she wasn't alone anymore, but that someone had joined her in this challenge of survival. She felt so strong and brave and thought she could do anything; Nadine and Rocky were like one person and what one did, the other followed at the same time.
But then Diana put Nadine in her crib as she saw the little toddler could barely keep her eyes open and the moment her head hit the pillow, she was fast asleep and the twins were two again.
Vinny was almost done with his homework and shortly after, he went to bed. He had something he needed to give Rian from the school; he had yet again played a prank after being expelled from his previous school because of one.
When Nelly came to the mayor's house after a very confusing afternoon, she stood in the living room for a good 10 minutes thinking of what the mysterious girl from her school told her. She still didn't know the girl's secretive name, but she did tell her to meet her at Old Pier Beach tomorrow so 'some things' could be discussed.
After her homework was done, she went to bed to get some rest for a long day at the beach tomorrow.
While all the children were asleep safely in their beds, the criminal reached Pat and Rocky's campsite. She immediately turned to Rocky and motioned to pick her up; Pat ran closer, but he was too late as she already gripped the toddler.
"Don't make one move or your baby will be lost at sea" the criminal said, holding Rocky tightly in her arms.
"You wouldn't hurt her if you could" Pat said, a little frightened that she might do as she says.
"Just try me" the criminal whispered.
"Just let us go without following us or calling the cops, and your precious child will still live" the criminal demanded, but Pat couldn't answer anything; he couldn't just let her go because then Rocky will be gone, but if he calls the police or tries to stop them, he knew that she would kill Rocky.
"I'll take that as a yes" the criminal stated.
Soon Rian got home from his meeting and joined his wife in bed to get some sleep after a long and busy day working.
In some or other way the criminal got her and Rocky in the middle of a pond at an abandoned fishing spot. The only thing on the island is a stuffed animal that isn't even new, but 50 years old, but it has been fixed so no stuffing is out of place.
Then the criminal left Rocky alone on the island with the bear and somehow got herself on the other side of the lot.
Rocky looked at the criminal in surprise and saw green and blue sparks around her, right after she left Rocky.
The toddler felt terrified and alone being the only living thing on the island, and so looked for love and comforting from the bear.
Though, after what the criminal told Pat, he still chased after them, hoping he didn't just put Rocky's life in danger. When he reached the fishing spot the criminal didn't look the least bit surprised that he neglected her warning.
"I'm not your normal villain" the criminal said "The one moment I'm here-"
"-The next I'm somewhere else, so don't count on catching me" the criminal finished her sentence after she disappeared and reappeared behind Pat.
"How did you-?" Pat said confused "I'll get you! Just give me back Rocky!"
"No!" the criminal whisper-yelled.
Pat raced North, in the direction of large bushes, in horror of how icy the criminal's words came out, but he didn't get far because the criminal cut him off when he was halfway; making sure he won't easily or without broken bones, get off the lot.
Nelly was awaken by her phone that rang continuously in her pocket, though she was sure she turned it off. Either way, she answered her phone and the voice speaking out of it made a shiver go down her back and her face turned pale.
"You" the voice of the person calling, sounded through the phone. The voice sounded like one you would only hear in a horror-film; the person sounded half....dead, like a zombie.
It continued: "The......hidden.....hidden"
The person on the other end hung up with an evil laugh as good-bye.
