After a whole day of searching most of the town for Pat and Rocky, Freya finally returned home with the hope of them coming straight here to rest after whatever it is they are doing today, but it didn’t matter what she told herself, it didn’t help and she kept tearing up. Bad thoughts came into her head; ones like they were killed, they got hurt and are at the hospital, they don’t want to live with her anymore, they lost their way back, they’re being blamed for a crime and are being arrested.
When Pat walked in the front door, all those thoughts went away and she greeted him with a tight hug, a smile on her face, forgetting for a moment that she left Rocky with him, but soon, very soon that was the only thing on her mind.
“Where is Rocky? I thought I could trust you with her! I thought you’re more responsible than losing our daughter!” Freya began shouting worrisome, her motherly instinct kicking in.
“Rocky’s ok, just hypnotized. They’re helping her at the police station and bringing her back between 9 and 12 tonight”
“As long as she’s ok.”
At the therapy room at the police station Rocky kept throwing tantrums caused by the ways they’re trying to make her forget about Catriano and that’s irritating her because everything is too different from what she said which means it makes her brain go bonkers and she can’t control herself in any way she tries.
Adams put Rocky in a crib nearby and as his hand goes around Rocky’s head, she keeps following it with a feeling that he’s going to do something to her; he sees that he’s not going to be able to do what he has to without her seeing, so just puts the thing that lets them tap into her brain, on her head.
They watched the screen where her thoughts come up until they saw and heard what Catriano told her, but they couldn’t quite understand how ‘you don’t have a twin’ would control Rocky….unless….no, her dad said she’s their youngest daughter and their other 2 children are in elementary school.
She woke up and looked at them angrily and with much rage, insulted and completely frustrated that they would tap into her head and look at her dreams and her thoughts.
“Leave me alone” she whispered, though no one has taught her how talk yet
When the therapist showed up at the Matthew house, she immediately recognized Diana and couldn't help but to stalk her until 10 minutes have past and she finally remembered why she came here.
"Why did you call for our service?" the therapist asks.
"Our daughter Nadine isn't herself ever since we tucked her into bed for a nap; she's only screaming 24/7"
"Have you been treating her differently?"
"Not at all"
"I'll have a look at her and see what I can do"
The old therapist scanned the room for her patient and found that little Nadine is hiding from her in the toy box, carefully looking over the edge to see if it's safe to come out. Something inside her yelled: "SIT ON YOUR BUT! THEY'LL SEE YOU. YOU SILLY CHILD, YOUR SISTER IS SMARTER!"
The therapist spotted Nadine in the box and somehow convinced the little tike to get out; picking her up, to her it looked like Nadine was eager to let her hold her, but in reality she was trying to get a hold of her neck to strangle her to death, never to have to worry about her finding the secrets she hides within her.
The old woman placed her in the high chair so Nadine wouldn't be able to escape before she found the root cause of this problem; Nadine smiled that cheesy grind Rocky had at the pond and the therapist gasped from seeing that these to cases are the same though Nadine has just been sleeping silently in her crib while Rocky was having the most horrific day at the fishing spot with Catriano Davidson.
She gave Nadine a bowl of food to see some different reactions the toddler shows, as she turned around for a moment to speak to Diana, Nadine gathers some of the food, lifting a hand full of it, aiming it at the therapist, but the lady ducked just in time, as the food flies over her head and splatters on the wall, leaving a stain.
The therapist glares at Nadine, not mean or like a bully would do, but determining and she has no choice but to force the grossest food she had ever tasted, down her throat.
Once she was done forcing down something that she thought is suppose to be against the law to feed to children, the therapist picked Nadine out of the high chair and the toddler feels a shiver go down her back, being disgusted by the lady holding her; the therapist wanted to hold her close, but Nadine had other plans, as she pushes her away, not wanting to be near her.
The therapist saw Nadine’s disgusted face and tried cheering her up with a little tickling, but that plan couldn’t have backfired more; as soon as she started to tickle her, instead of hearing giggles and laughter of joy, she hears screams and cries of terror.
The therapist walked over to Diana, tightly gripping Nadine in her arms, forcing her to hold the old woman close, which was almost the last thing she had in mind.
“I’m really sorry Ms. Matthew. I’ll need to take her to the police station’s therapy room” the therapist told Diana.
“Why? Why there? Why can’t you take her to a normal therapy place?” Diana asked confused and startled.
“We have another toddler with a similar case and we want to see if we can cure both at once.”
“Ok. Here’s my number. Call us when we can go fetch her, even if it’s midnight”
Diana handed the therapist a paper with a phone number on it. Without another word, they left.
The therapist called the one who was helping Rocky and told him what she knows, him just as confused from this situation.
When he hung up, he tried tickling Rocky, just like the other therapist did with Nadine and the exact same thing happened; Rocky screamed and tried getting loose from his grip.
When the therapist arrived with Nadine, nobody said anything, the adults feeling the tension build between these toddlers that just met but had a bond that anybody who look close enough, will see. Nadine couldn’t do anything, too surprised from this sudden appearance of her sister.
Rocky’s reaction was the exact same, both almost bursting into tears of joy because of finally meeting each other; they had this feeling that this isn’t going to be the last time they see each other, but tonight isn’t the day they reunite.
“Lets put them down so they can catch up” Nadine’s therapist said, reading their expressions and reactions right; they did what she suggested.
As they were put down, Nadine didn’t waste a second, immediately walking towards Rocky but her sister stayed on one place, to embarrassed to let her sister know she doesn’t know how to walk yet.
Nadine looked at the therapists to make sure they weren’t going to stop them from interacting with each other and to her great relief, they encouraged her to go closer to the person she misses every day.
They looked at each other with delight, happier than ever before in their lives, wishing that this could become a reality, but they knew it would, just not now, not at this age but when they are more mature, though, for someone of their age, they were very smart and logical thinkers.
(Author’s note: I honestly never see them happier than when they’re together)
They both moved to the doll house and played for hours non-stop; making each other laugh, just playing, talking without really having a subject and just enjoying each other’s company.
The therapists watched them as they enjoy themselves, feeling that something isn’t right, but mostly seeing that the one cured the other just by being with them; they had a big and strong feeling that they’re sisters, but not just sisters, twins.
The blonde male therapist suddenly got a plan to help them, seeing that their job isn’t done yet, but only changed; he whispered to the female therapist that he has a solution, then telling her that it is; they discussed and changed it until it could work, deciding when to start it.
Nelly reached the beach at 5 pm and immediately spotting the mystery girl, remembering that she was framing her brother for a massive prank that has an expensive punishment.
“You’re framing my brother” Nelly said, reaching her.
“I know. It’s perfect because he’s still being watched for almost blowing your previous school up. You don’t dare tell anyone! Got it?” the mystery girl said.
“I got it”
“Now follow me”
They ran to a more quiet part of the beach and found a teen of about 15 years and a child of her age.
“This is my gang, but I’m only second in command. The boss will meet you later” the girl announced.
“Ok”
“If she approves you, we’ll tell you our names.
From the rocks behind them, a girl spied on them closely and carefully, really concentrating on Nelly and not being seen; she's mysterious and it seemed the other girls knew that she was standing there, as they were making sure Nelly doesn't look in that direction.
She was clearly wearing contacts, for some reason she's hiding her eyes but soon Nelly would realize it's for a good reason and for everyone’s protection; never would she dare take them out; she's too scared and too dangerous. She's in hiding and only have those three down there, talking to Nelly; they're the only ones who understand. It's not easy being the daughter of....Catriano Davidson!
